Growing heroes

We asked children to reimagine themselves as superheroes since we were curious as to how they would express themselves without boundaries. Every kid is born into a certain set of given restrictions, such as gender, skin colour and heritage, and we wanted to find out how they would build themselves free from these limitations. When we interviewed them individually, we were very surprised by their answers. The children answered with little focus on themselves, but much more on what they would be able to do for others. In the end, we learned from the kids which qualities make real heroes.
